When people say to me, “Oh, so you’re a writer?” I say, “Well, when I write, yeah.” Lately, though, I’ve been writing a bunch. Books and articles and some strange things in between. The genre is hard to pin down. Across the back of one of my books, my editor (god bless her), actually had the following printed: “Please place in philosophy next to Nietzsche / in Religion (Western) next to the Book of Job / in Relgion (Eastern) next to the I-Ching / in Humor next to Oscar Wilde.” If you follow the links you’ll find political rants, travel misadventures, post-modern aphorisms, and everything in between, including: an ironic spiritual manifesto, a heartfelt story about my own commitmentphobia, a how-to guide on culture jamming, and a strategic analysis of the problem of spectacle in modern culture. Have at it.
